This is one high school student's quest to read Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. I will read 4 pages a day, and then write a little something about them. What will that something be? I have no idea.
Rules:
Read exactly four pages of Les Miserables a day. If, for some reason, it is absolutely impossible to read my four pages that day, I can catch up the next day. However, I can't read anymore than 8 pages a day, so if I miss several days it will take me several days to catch up. If a sentence doesn't end perfectly at the end of the page, I can read to the end of the sentence on the next page, but no more.
FAQ:
Why not read it in longer amounts and finish it faster, like a normal person?
Because that wouldn't be as much fun to blog about.
Why are you blogging about it, anyway?
Blame a certain librarian I know.
Why four pages a day? Why not 5, or 2?
Four pages will allow me to finish the book in roughly a year. A year is a nice, round amount of time.
What edition of the book are you using?
I'm using the Signet Classics unabridged paperback, translated by Lee Fahnstock and Norman MacAfee. It is 1463 pages.
